Focus

Since 2020 Alexander Hauf has been entrusted with the drafting of patent applications and the assistance in national and international patent grant, opposition and appeal proceedings in particular in the following areas:

  • Electromobility: Mobile and stationary charging devices, electric motors, high-voltage batteries, hydrogen tanks, hydrogen supply assemblies
  • Production and manufacturing technology: additive manufacturing, laser material processing, metal injection molding, process monitoring, assembly and production line automation
  • Medical technology: packaging, transport, delivery, wound treatment
  • Automotive engineering: passenger protection, air conditioning, sound reinforcement
  • Tool technology: drilling and milling tools in particular for aerospace technology and for the production of electric motors
  • Powertrain technology: internal combustion engines in particular for land- and sea vehicles, hybrid engines, exhaust gas aftertreatment, exhaust gas turbocharger

Education and Work experience

Alexander Hauf studied Mechanical Engineering / Materials Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. He completed his master thesis “Development of a laser beam welding concept for materials with high carbon content by controlled heat input” in 2017 in collaboration with the Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW) at the University of Stuttgart and the Daimler AG in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim.

Subsequently, he worked as a process developer and later as a team and project leader in the field of laser technologies automotive. He supervised the development of innovative laser welding, laser remelting and laser heat treatment processes for the production of combustion engines as well as electric motors, powertrains and high voltage batteries.

From 2020 to 2023 he underwent training in the field of intellectual property and completed a part-time law degree.

Since February 2024 he is a registered german patent attorney and a european trade mark and design attorney.
