Since 2020 Jakob Knelles has been entrusted with the drafting of patent applications, assistance in patent grant and opposition proceedings as well as conducting prior art searches.
His technical focus is on chemistry, in particular electrochemistry and catalyst chemistry, food chemistry, biochemistry, biology, bio- and food technology, pharmacy and medical technology.
Jakob Knelles studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart. He completed his Master’s degree with a focus on “Sustainable Synthesis and Catalysis” and finally finished his Master’s thesis on a research project on iron-catalysed proton transfer reactions.
Afterwards he worked on an interdisciplinary project at the University of Stuttgart in the field of “Smart Materials and Functional Molecules” in cooperation with the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Rennes 1 in France, where he had research stays at the Institute of Solids and Materials. The focus was on the synthesis of novel mesomorphic dyes and the investigation of their physical, biological and electrochemical properties.
Since 2020, he has been training in the field of intellectual property rights at the law firm Gleiss Große Schrell und Partner and in addition is completing a law degree at the University of Hagen.
